Meet The Professionals

Professional Matthew Coulson

I started playing golf at the age of ten and joined Radcliffe on Trent Golf Club. I enjoyed a lot of success as a junior being part of the Notts team that won both the Midland and National County Finals.

Aged 19 I became club champion and went on to win the Nottinghamshire under 21 championships before deciding to pursue a career as a professional golfer.

I am a PGA Qualified Professional with over 20 years experience. I started my teaching career at Radcliffe on Trent before moving on to Ramsdale Park Golf Centre to become a Senior Teaching Professional. I have a real passion for teaching the game of golf, helping people of all ages and abilities to fulfill their potential.

I am now a Teaching Professional at Trent Lock Golf and Country Club, a superb venue with excellent teaching and hospitality facilities. Using the latest technology with in depth analysis I offer a variety of lesson packages catering for everyone from beginners to groups, ladies and juniors to the higher skilled golfers.

Nick Taylor

Nick is a highly accomplished and passionate Professional Golf Coach with an extensive background in the golf industry. With an illustrious career spanning 28 years, Nick joins the Elite Golf Academy team at Trent Lock Golf & Country Club.

For the majority of his career Nick competed at a high level on various professional tours across the United Kingdom and Asia. He had the privilege of working with elite coaches who played a pivotal role in shaping his approach to coaching. Among these esteemed mentors are the renowned David Leadbetter, David Ridley & Alistair Davies. Their mentorship and guidance have contributed to Nick's profound understanding of the game and the art of coaching.

As a golf coach, Nick is known for his versatility and ability to connect with golfers of all levels, from novices taking their first swings to elite players seeking to fine-tune their skills. His coaching philosophy is centered around providing his clients with a comprehensive understanding of their own golf game.

With his move to Trent Lock Golf & Country Club, Nick is set to bring his wealth of experience and expertise to a broader audience of golf enthusiasts.
